More importantly, I have noticed that they are staying focused longer during instruction, and I have already seen a boost in student grades since adding the new equipment.\r\n\r\nThe iPad has been just as valuable because it gives me an extra set of eyes while I am teaching. I can keep student notes, lesson materials, or GoGuardian monitoring open on the iPad while using my main computer screens for live instruction. One of the first projects I created was a paper computer model that I shared with my students during our online class. They were very excited to see how the Cricut could create detailed learning materials that connect directly to our computer science lessons.\r\n\r\nWhen students first heard about the Cricut, they were immediately curious and enthusiastic. Many students asked questions about how the machine works and what kinds of projects I could create with it. They especially loved seeing the computer model and hearing that future lessons could include hands-on interactive activities instead of only digital lessons on the screen.\r\n\r\nOver the summer break, I plan to create reusable coding manipulatives kits using the Cricut. These materials will help students practice sequencing, algorithms, debugging, and other coding concepts in a more hands-on and engaging way.
