Many students enter 5th grade unable to Read well enough to use reading as a method of learning. They cannot yet Read to learn because they have yet to learn to read. Although this usually occurs by the end of 3rd grade, many students entering 5th grade still struggle with deciding text. These materials will help them acquire this essential skills. Once they can decode a word into something they recognize they will comprehend text. This is a problem for both English Kanguage Learners and student speaking English since birth.
