My project will help motivate students to get moving again after a long time off due to COVID-19 restrictions. Many have gained weight, lost mobility, and have lost the ability to interact appropriately with other kids. Through games and team sports, specifically with a basketball goal and ball, I can motivate my students to get moving again. My lessons will focus on speaking and listening goals from the NVACS as well as specific physical education goals as outlined in our state standards required for students to meet. We need to spend time in team sports that are fun and easily accessible to all the students in my class.
