This project is intended to help students build their reading comprehension. During the pandemic, many students lost access to reading materials, especially at the elementary level. My students need books in their hands so they can make growth before heading off to middle school. These books will hit our Nevada Academic Content Standards particularly in the Reading Literature. We can cover character traits, summarizing, plot, setting, citing evidence and so much more. We can tie in our Writing standards to the novel by responding to the text with different prompts. About my class
