The kids were so excited to be able to pick from squishes, 3D pet erasers, and resin animals for completing weekly blended learning goals. In December, I used printer to print pictures of the kids for a calendar parent gift. We also made the Christmas ornaments as a Fun Friday class activity.\r\n\r\nSome of the supplies purchased were to restocked basic classroom essentials. The students were thankful for white board erasers and felt tip pens. The bookcase, books, and bookends helped make the library more inviting and organized. The students love all the new chapter book sets! I teach approximately 750 students in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade, and these materials have already brought so much excitement, creativity, and hands-on learning to our classroom.\r\n\r\nOur Kindergarten through 4th grade students especially loved using the KEVA planks and circuit-building materials. Students designed mazes, experimented with free building, and created exciting Rube Goldberg machines. One of their favorite activities was learning about forces and motion while designing chain reactions that solved simple problems in creative ways. The classroom was filled with teamwork, problem-solving, and cheering when students successfully completed their designs. Watching students test ideas, make improvements, and celebrate their successes showed just how meaningful hands-on STEM learning can be.\r\n\r\nThe butterfly materials also created unforgettable learning experiences for our students. Students carefully observed each stage of the butterfly life cycle, from caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly. When the butterflies finally hatched, the students were amazed and excited to release them. They also made connections by comparing the butterfly life cycle to the life cycles of rainbow trout and plants that we study in STEM. These experiences helped students strengthen their observation skills while building a deeper appreciation for science and the natural world.\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, my students are able to explore, create, collaborate, and think like real engineers and scientists.
