The items that I chose for my project will all help my students to succeed in music class, as well as be excited to learn new instruments! With students not having hand-on experience in the classroom last year, the supplies included within this project will supplement student learning and allow for them to regain the experiences that they lost due to distanced learning. Elementary music is all about interpreting, creating, and performing. My students love to create their own musical ideas, and the materials I have chosen will help their creativity soar (Music K-8 Creating- Anchor Standard 1). They also love to end the day by performing what they were working on and practicing throughout class, and having these materials will help them succeed at a higher level (Music K-8 Performing-Anchor Standard 4). Keeping the instruments in their best condition is an important part of my job, and helps the students perform to the best of their ability. I have chosen certain materials that will allow me to maintain the instruments that are most vital for student success.
