My students are taking a high school level course as 8th graders. This means that they are in an accelerated program for math that will allow them to take advanced math in high school. To prepare them for the advanced math they will take, my students need to learn how to use a graphing calculator. My project will allow students to use TI-84 graphing calculators in class to while learning the Algebra curriculum. The calculators are an integral part of the Algebra curriculum by allowing students to work through more complex problems Students in an Algebra class need these calculators in order to compare and contrast the parent function to other forms of the quadratic to see the changes that each of the coefficients have on the parabola.
