My students could not wait to open our new resources and we started using the materials immediately. The surprising favorite is the dice in dice. There are mini die inside a larger die and the students roll and have to multiply the two numbers. It is a great way to get them to practice their math facts instead of just pencil and paper! My particular favorite is the self correcting literacy cards. The students choose a card, read the story and then have to answer questions about the story. The great part is that the cards come with a \"magic pen\" that tells the students if they selected the correct answer. This is incredibly helpful especially when I am working with another group of students and am not available. The students are able to receive immediate feedback which builds self confidence and autonomy! They have a place to meet and learn.
