It is funny how something as simple as a rug goes such a long way! I absolutely love gathering with my students on the rug for many different things. We read together, talk together, and grow together in this one small space of our classroom. This area has become our favorite meeting spot for a number of things throughout our day. To be able to join together in comfortable and safe space where we can be whoever we want to be brings out the best in all of us. Throughout the year my students will curl up on the rug for reading time and make memories together. Reading is one of the most important skills a child will learn in their early years and it is my goal to encourage their talents and skills on our new rug!
