My first graders were beyond excited when they first saw the new phonics games, flash cards, and hands-on learning materials. The Play-Doh was an instant favorite, and students could not wait to begin using the new activities during our reading rotations.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the phonics quickies, sound mapping flash cards, and touch-and-read activities during small group instruction and literacy centers to strengthen decoding, sight word recognition, and phonemic awareness skills. Many students who were previously hesitant readers became more engaged and eager to participate because the activities are interactive, hands-on, and fun.\r\n\r\nThese resources are helping us build strong foundational reading skills aligned with the Science of Reading.
