Thanks to your support:\r\n\r\nStudent Accountability: Each student now has a dedicated \"home\" for their notes, assignments, and goals.\r\n\r\nReduced Stress: Having a clean, organized folder means less time searching for lost papers and more time spent on actual learning.\r\n\r\nProfessionalism: My students feel a sense of pride carrying their binders; it gives them a \"professional\" toolkit that makes them take their academic progress more seriously.\r\n\r\nA Message from the Students\r\nThe excitement in the room when we unboxed these supplies was infectious. One student remarked, \"I finally feel like I have my life together!\" while another was thrilled to finally have a safe place to keep their creative writing pieces.\r\n\r\n\"Your kindness has provided more than just plastic and paper; you have provided the structure my students need to succeed. While these may seem like simple supplies, they have made a meaningful difference in our daily routines and in keeping our students healthy, comfortable, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWe use these resources every single day. During cold and flu season especially, tissues are constantly in use! Instead of worrying about running out, students can take what they need right away. Our soap has also become an important part of our classroom routines. We've been practicing proper handwashing—especially before snack, after recess, and after coughing or sneezing. One special moment that stood out was when a student reminded a classmate, \"Don't forget the soap—we have to scrub for 20 seconds!\" It was such a proud teacher moment to see them taking ownership of keeping our classroom healthy.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the big supply of tissues and soap, they were genuinely excited. At this age, they notice everything! Several students commented that we wouldn't have to \"borrow from the office\" anymore. It gave them a sense of security knowing we had what we needed right in our room.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, we're able to focus more on learning and less on interruptions due to illness or missing supplies. As we move into our next science unit, students will be working collaboratively on hands-on projects. With strong hygiene routines in place, they can safely share materials and work closely in groups. We are also continuing to build independence and responsibility by having student helpers monitor our supply station and remind classmates of healthy habits.\r\n\r\nYour donation has helped create a cleaner, healthier, and more prepared classroom environment. Your gift of the incubator has transformed our classrooms into a place of wonder and discovery that our 1st and 5th graders will remember for years to come.\r\n\r\nWhen we first set up the incubator and placed those eggs inside, the excitement was absolutely electric. Our 1st graders crowded around with wide eyes, asking endless questions: \"When will they hatch?\" \"Can we hear them?\" One first grader whispered, \"I think I can hear them pecking!\" The 5th graders took on the role of \"egg scientists,\" carefully recording daily temperature and humidity readings in their observation journals. Both classes have been checking on the eggs multiple times a day—it's become the highlight of our morning routine.\r\n\r\nWe've integrated this project into every subject. In literacy, students are writing detailed observation journals and creating egg care guides. In math, 1st graders are counting down the days until hatch day, while 5th graders are graphing temperature trends and calculating incubation timelines. We've even created a \"candling station\" where students hold eggs up to a light to observe the developing chicks inside—a moment of pure magic that never gets old.\r\n\r\nWe're now in the final stretch before hatch day! Our 5th graders are preparing presentations about the chicken life cycle to share with the 1st graders, and we're planning a celebration where both classes will witness the chicks breaking through their shells. After hatching, we'll care for the chicks for several weeks before they go to a local farm, giving students an extended opportunity to observe growth and animal care firsthand.\r\n\r\nYour investment in this incubator has given our students an unforgettable, cross-grade learning experience that connects science, literacy, and compassion in ways that textbooks simply cannot.
