My students walk into our classroom every day with smiles, ready to learn, and excited for the day. They are always asking questions, digging for information and have a thirst for knowledge and learning. I am a teacher at a elementary school in Massachusetts and 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of my students and families have many struggles at home. I often spend my own family's money to provide materials, learning tools and school essentials for my students. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best.
