Putting a book in each student's hands engages students in the most delightful way. Students light up when it is time for our book reading, diving to grab their books and find the right page. Through reading Inside Out and Back Again, students will appreciate the challenges Ha and her family face, be exposed to rich culture and vocabulary, and create an art and writing project. Students will learn about the world in 1975 through the eyes of someone their own age. Doing so will help students connect and empathize with others.
