They have used kinetic sand and stamp pads for art, science, and reading standards. They have used the books to read independently with stamina. I have set up a dramatic play grocery store where students practice humanities standards, math standards, social studies standards, and health standards. The writing boards make learning sight words engaging.\r\nPlay based learning has also allowed them to practice communication skills and social skills through turn taking, discourse, and play acting. My students are excited to come to school now to see what hands on experiences they will be able to participate in each day.
