My 2nd graders have not been in a physical classroom since they were in kindergarten. They need materials that will support their individual needs in a classroom environment. The SEL books will be used to empower students to make good choices as they learn how to appropriately interact with their peers and build their social-emotional skills. The flexible seating options will allow students choice, fun, comfort, and opportunities to collaborate with their peers. The literacy materials will be used as engaging centers to meet students where they are as learners. Finally, the rolling adjustable easel will allow me to move around the room for mini-meetings, small group lessons, and whole-group meetings on the carpet.
