1RF.1.4a Read on-level text with purpose and understanding. Students will use the resources to increase vocabulary usage, writing practice, and improve reading skills, which will be used in and out of the classroom. Phonics materials will be used to reinforce during whole and small groups. Students will be given supplies and reading materials to take home. Incentives will be used to encourage reading at home. 1.ME.1.2 & 1.ME.1.1 Students will use the resources as calming down tools to help promote mindfulness and allow for students to clear their thoughts when they are stressed or have a bad day at school.
