The math and reading materials that I have selected will allow me to create an engaging math workshop that will give students the opportunity to learn in small group setting. The small group workshop will allow for more meaningful instruction that will give students get the needed instruction and enrichment they need to be successful learners. The reading materials are research-based to help reach struggling readers to improve fluency, comprehension and develop word study skills. Students will need reading comprehension and fluency skills not just for literacy fluency but also to be successful in math fluency and understanding complex story problems.
