And they have been thrilled to be able to erase their work and start over when they believe they made an error and need to start over – with no evidence of the \"mistake.\".\r\n\r\nIn the problem you see in the photos, the students were solving a system of linear equations. They were told that during the avian flu epidemic earlier this year, one customer bought three cartons of a dozen eggs and five cartons of 18 eggs for $76.00. A second customer bought four cartons of a dozen eggs 
and two cartons of 18 eggs for $52.80. The students had to determine the price 
for a carton of one dozen eggs
 and for a carton of 18 eggs.\r\n\r\nIt was fascinating to see some of the groups try to solve the problem by substitution, others by elimination. And then comes the best part.
