All of our rising 10th grade students in the technical theatre program do incredible work and we want them to be able to do so in a safe environment. With our return to the building it is important that we have adequate personal protective equipment that does not need to be shared between students. The hard hats will go to expanding and replacing our current outdated set. The tethers will ensure that no matter where a student is working there are no loose tools being used overhead. Your donations to this project will help guarantee that each student has their own personal protective gear. In order for students to start to see themselves as emerging professionals we will be implementing a one to one personal protective equipment policy for hard hats and tethers in addition to safety glasses.As a teacher and technical theatre professional I believe having this one to one equipment will promote an important safety culture that will protect students now and into their futures. I appreciate your continued support of the LaGuardia Technical Theatre students, we could not do it without you.
