They have been so intrigued about historical events, such as the Battle of Gettysburg and the Underground Railroad, as well as learning about places and historical figures. My 6th graders will be taking US History next year and many of them have expressed that they hope they get my class so they can use these resources more.\r\n\r\nFortunately, we have been able to use the globes immediately in Science in our Ocean, Atmosphere, and Climate unit. My students have been enthralled with Geography. The globes have helped them visualize the expanse of the oceans. We were even able to do a Geography scavenger hunt to find places on the globe. Secretly, those places were ones we were about to learn about in Science as we studied the impact on their climate during El Niño years. \r\n\r\nAs an educator, it has brought me true joy to see the excitement and curiosity in learning. It has also given me much anticipation and hope for switching subjects next year. I appreciate your generosity in giving my students such fun and engaging hands-on resources.
