Theatre and dance students will learn to perform African drumming and dance in order to produce a performance for their community. Over the 8 week project students will learn the history of the African West Coast, African culture, how to make African food, speak and learn a new language, appreciate African Music, and fashions worn in those countries in order to fully immerse themselves into this project. At the end of this cultural immersion students will use what they have learned,and artifacts collected to create YouTube videos to share their experience with other students around the world, produce a show that can be shared with our community.

About my class
