The moment the boxes arrived, the energy in our classroom instantly changed. The students' eyes lit up when they saw the fresh, colorful dry-erase markers and our new, diverse collection of books aligned to their interests. We immediately put the dry-erase pockets to work in our math stations, allowing students to practice and self-correct with the miniboard-style format—it's been a game-changer for engagement! The students are now spending their silent reading time curled up in our expanded reading nook, completely immersed in stories that reflect their world and spark new conversations. The simple abundance of basics, like the new glue sticks and lined paper, has removed the stress of conserving supplies, allowing for a creative explosion of hands-on projects and collaborative learning that truly anchors our classroom community. 💗","fullyFundedDate":1762267610544,"projectUrl":"project/essential-classroom-supplies-and-books/9837348/","projectTitle":"Essential Classroom Supplies and Books: Nurturing Curiosity, Connection, and Calm","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Padlan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2370984_orig.png?crop=630,630,x60,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1661866642434","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2370984"},{"teacherId":2370984,"projectId":9516195,"letterContent":"From my classroom to you, thank you! ✨💗 Your thoughtful gift means the world to us and has already started making a profound difference in the daily lives of our students.\r\n\r\nThis is truly so much more than just supplies; it's about giving our students the tools and opportunities they need to truly explore, create, and succeed. My students use the dictionaries and thesauruses weekly while writing in response to what we have read—whether they're searching for the precise word to strengthen an argument or discovering a new synonym to avoid repetition in their responses. The colored lined paper has become an engaging tool for writing final copies to clearly differentiate them from the original drafts.\r\n\r\nOne specific project where these resources shined was during our literary analysis essays. They enjoy getting the opportunity to choose the color of the paper for their final copy, allowing it to stand out from their white paper packets. They appreciate the wide ruled lines which gives them the space they need to write. It is exciting to see them getting back to pencil and paper writing after so many years of working on Chromebooks. \r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the students were genuinely excited—especially about the dictionaries and thesauruses. We have given them a permanent place on each table. Not only are they utilizing them when going through the writing process, but they are also often turning to the dictionary when encountering unfamiliar words within their text or independent reading novels. It is wonderful to see them not constantly reaching for an electronic device to locate a definition or alternate word. Thanks to your generosity, my students are not only improving their literacy skills but also gaining confidence as writers and readers.\r\n\r\nOn a side note, my classroom is also home to our school Ezine. My student staffers are using the dictionaries and thesauruses weekly to help them proofread and edit student submissions. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your donations!","fullyFundedDate":1755871172474,"projectUrl":"project/lets-create-some-amazing-writing/9602950/","projectTitle":"Let's Create Some Amazing Writing!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. O'Brien","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7024347_orig.jpg?crop=768,768,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1597615219845","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7024347"},{"teacherId":6627028,"projectId":9256558,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous contributions to this project.
