In order to facilitate a more proactive approach and to provide immediate feedback, students will perform long division problems with multi-digit divisors using dry erase markers and their boards. Because of the difficulty with long division, students need to learn and to perform the division algorithm step by step and be able to flash their answers to me to confirm their understanding of the concept. This will give me the immediate feedback I need in order to review their results and adjust my instruction accordingly. "Be willing to be a beginner every single morning." --Meister Eckhart Students will be eager to walk in the door each day and excited about participating in their own discovery of the power of mathematics!
