Robotics activities at school include building, testing, collaborative problem-solving and community service. These activities build a strong team and create unity and a sense of purpose in their learning. Robotics activities at home include discovery of new ideas for robot design, researching real-world problems for Lego League engineering challenges, and practicing computer coding online using website programs. This knowledge gives students confidence in their own abilities and increases their individual skill level. The robot materials chosen for this project can be the starting point for someone new to robots and computer programming AND also be used by high-level experienced robot teams to accomplish complex tasks.
