Because of you, our students have access to items such as Frito-Lay variety chips, Flamin' Hot snacks, Takis, assorted crackers and cookies, granola bars, fruit snacks, candy, meat sticks, and drink pouches. These snacks are being used to stock our classroom snack closet, which provides students with quick nourishment during long class periods and supports those who may come to school without having eaten. Your donations help ensure students can stay energized, focused, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the snack supplies, their excitement was immediate and contagious. Many were thrilled by the variety and appreciated having both sweet and savory options available. In fact, the snack closet is already running low because students were so excited and grateful to have access to food items—many of the snacks were eaten quickly! This response highlighted just how meaningful your support is and how much these items are truly needed by our students.\r\n\r\nYour contribution gave you a special glimpse into our classroom community, and we are thankful to share how it continues to make an impact. As students move forward with current lessons focused on career readiness, professionalism, and stamina during extended instructional periods, having access to snacks allows them to stay engaged and productive. We are continuing to reinforce responsibility by teaching students to manage shared resources and support one another. These resources are being used daily to support student comfort, confidence, and cleanliness, helping create a safe and respectful learning environment where students can focus on learning rather than unmet basic needs.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, their reactions were a mix of surprise, gratitude, and relief. Many expressed appreciation for having discreet access to items they sometimes forget or may not have at home. The fidget tools have already become a positive support for students who need help managing stress or staying focused, and the hygiene supplies have encouraged responsibility, professionalism, and self-care—important skills as many of our students prepare for careers in health care and other professional fields.\r\n\r\nYour contribution gave you a meaningful glimpse into our classroom community, and we are excited to share what's next. Students are currently applying these habits of personal care and responsibility as part of lessons focused on workplace readiness, patient care expectations, and professional behavior. One of the first projects they completed was replanting their growing plants into larger flower pots, which fit perfectly on the new plant stand. This small change made a big difference—they were able to observe their plants' growth more clearly and apply what they've learned in our lessons about plant care. Students also enjoyed placing the Miracle-Gro sticks into the soil and tracking how the added nutrients affected plant development over time.\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable moments came when our Venus flytrap arrived. Seeing this unique plant up close helped students make deeper connections to our lessons on carnivorous plants. They were fascinated watching how it captured insects and asked thoughtful questions that showed how engaged they were with the content. Additionally, students have been using the classroom microscope to observe microorganisms living within the soil of our plants. Viewing these tiny organisms firsthand has strengthened their understanding of ecosystems and the roles microorganisms play in plant health.\r\n\r\nThanks to these resources, our learning continues to grow. Students are now preparing to compare growth patterns between different plant species and document their findings in a science journal.
