Hello! My name is Ms. White and I am the art teacher at James Russell Lowell School #51 at the Indianapolis Public Schools. I have been working with our students in grades Preschool through sixth grade for the past two years. My goal is to give each student many opportunities to express him/herself using a variety of different materials. Many of the children at our school enter the doors with limited resources and art contributes to their life experiences in unique ways. I am looking for ways to expose them to art processes and techniques they would not be able to try at home. They particularly love painting. We are fortunate to have a working kiln in the classroom and I hope to add ceramics to the curriculum in the future. In the meantime, I will be submitting requests for basic materials to make my classroom function more effectively. I hope you will consider supporting our classroom!
