My students will be able to learn something magical if they have a copy of Sorcerer's Stone to read. I fell in love with the series when I was about their age (seventh grade), and I still carry Harry and his friends with me in my heart. The story has taught me a lot about life and love and loss. Without Harry Potter, I would never have become a teacher. I hated reading before I discovered the wizarding world and I hope I can repay the favor to my students by gifting them with the opportunity to read the first in the series. They will be able to do more hands-on projects with the scissors and glue and the books.
