Getting my students to write is a challenge. Anything I can do to encourage them to write, I am willing to try. I have noticed that my students enjoy writing with different color ink. Hopefully getting a variety of colored pens will build their excitement to write more. "Can I sharpen my pencil ?"or "My pencil broke!" are common sounds heard during class daily. I believe it buys them time away from their assignments. The hand held pencil sharpeners we use barely make it through a school day. Getting an electric pencil sharpener would help us with our daily pencil sharpening need drama. All kids today love using computers. I want students to enjoy writing. For my students who do not like using pencil and paper, I want to offer the use of the computer. A classroom printer will allow the students to type their writings and print them to submit.A class printer would be more accessible for this purpose.
