Having these materials readily available also helps reduce the stress that students may experience when they do not have the supplies they need to participate fully in class.\r\n\r\nThe Dog Man books are especially exciting because they provide students with opportunities to enjoy reading for pleasure. As a reading teacher, I know how important it is to encourage students to develop a love of reading, particularly as they transition into middle school. Having books that capture their interest and make them excited to read can help build their confidence, improve their reading skills, and encourage them to explore new stories. Seeing a student become excited about a book and choose to read independently is one of the most rewarding experiences a teacher can have.\r\n\r\nThe headphones will also be incredibly helpful during our classroom activities. Students regularly use educational programs, including i-Ready, to practice and strengthen their reading skills at their individual levels. Having headphones allows students to work independently, listen carefully, and remain focused while I provide small-group instruction to other students.
