These supplies will assist my students in being able to read books and comprehend them as well. Because of COVID, most students did not have much access to literature so these supplies will assist them in reading physical books as well as virtual books as well. CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.2.7. Use information gained from the illustrations and words in a print or digital text to demonstrate understanding of its characters, setting, or plot. These math manipulatives will assist my students will learning place value, telling time, counting money, and overall number recognition when adding and subtracting. Because of COVID students had little practice with utilizing hands-on manipulatives in order to solve problems. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.OA.B.2 Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies.2 By end of Grade 2, know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.NBT.B.5 Fluently add and subtract within 100 using strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.MD.C.7 Tell and write time from analog and digital clocks to the nearest five minutes, using a.m. and p.m. CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.MD.C.8 Solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using $ and ¢ symbols appropriately. Example: If you have 2 dimes and 3 pennies, how many cents do you have?
