One of my goals while teaching my students is to hook them as lifelong readers. Sometimes this is easy, sometimes it takes a little bit of effort helping students find just the right books that will interest them. My students love reading book series. I would love to fill my classroom library with series students often request, but I do not have. I can just imagine their faces lighting up when they can finish the book they are reading and are able to go right on to the next one in the series!! Also, using a book series is a great way to hook readers who don't necessarily like to read. Once they find just the right book, they are able to take off with reading. Having all of the books in the series they fall in love with will help them grow them as readers and keep their interest high. Thank you for considering helping my students!
