Typically backpacks are an essential item needed for the school year, but due to safety concerns, my school made the decision to eliminate backpacks prior to the start of last school year. Instead, students rely on binders or trapper keepers to organize all of their work and supplies. Many of my students struggle to come to school with their basic needs met (having clothing, shoes, food, etc.), so it is often difficult for them to afford a quality binder that will keep them organized over the year. Last year, I provided 500+ students with binders to keep their classwork organized. The services I provide are available to all students, and I can reach more students this year with the help of your donation.
