The games you helped provide have already made such a positive impact on our Spanish classes.\r\n\r\nMy students have been having a great time using UNO to practice colors and numbers in Spanish. It's such a simple game, but it has made our review so much more fun and interactive. They don't even realize how much they're practicing because they're so busy trying to win!\r\n\r\nThey have also absolutely loved playing Taco Gato Cabra Queso Pizza. The energy in the room whenever we play is high and the students get very competitive. There is a lot of laughter, quick reflexes, and plenty of Spanish practice mixed in. It has quickly become one of their favorite activities, and it's been a great way to build community while learning.\r\n\r\nIn the next couple of weeks, we'll be using Guess Who as we begin practicing how to describe people in Spanish. The students are already excited, and I know the game will make it easier for them to practice new vocabulary in a fun, low-pressure way.\r\n\r\nThank you again for making this possible. Your generosity helps create a classroom where students learn through joy, play, and connection. Your generosity made it possible for my students to engage in a hands-on, creative learning experience that they are still talking about. Because of your donation, we were able to explore Mexican folk art in a meaningful and memorable way by creating bead alebrijes, and the impact on my students was truly special.\r\n\r\nTo begin our project, we learned about the history and cultural significance of alebrijes, the brightly colored fantastical creatures that are an important part of Mexican folk art. \r\nThen, each student chose an animal that had some meaning for them. Some selected animals that represent qualities they hope to grow in themselves, like courage, independence, or creativity. Others chose animals they simply love or feel connected to. Once they selected their animals, they designed their alebrije. Several students explained why they chose particular colors, and it was amazing to hear the personal stories, thoughtful explanations, and cultural connections behind their choices.\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited when we finally were able to bring their design to life. They were engaged and were so proud of what they created. Many hadn't made an animal like this and some wanted to make more after they learned how to do it. \r\n\r\nYour support provided more than materials. You gave my students a chance to express themselves, to learn about an important artistic tradition, and to feel the joy of creating something meaningful with their own hands. Thank you again for believing in our classroom and for investing in my students' creativity and learning. We appreciate you more than we can say.","fullyFundedDate":1755705185965,"projectUrl":"project/crafting-creativity-beaded-alebrijes-to/9620648/","projectTitle":"Crafting Creativity: Beaded Alebrijes to Inspire Art and Culture","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Helm","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9347981"},{"teacherId":8172791,"projectId":8982860,"letterContent":"My students love the globe of the Earth's interior. I love hearing them tell each other what natural phenomenons are happening at each level. \r\n7th grade curriculum is Earth science. The model will help me teach the classes to come about plate tectonics and the layers of Earth. The globe is made of durable material that they can take apart and put back together and not be worried about damaging the model.
