Due to the socioeconomic nature of our school, we do not have technology beyond the use of Chromebooks. Our school does not have the funds (Title I) to purchase technology resources. I can take pictures of math notes and immediately email them to students as well as put in grades in real time. Copies of notes can help a student who is struggling at home. Now students will also have up to date grades. Also, because I work with students with special needs, a tablet can give me the ability to adapt materials to meet students' needs (such as visual and audio features). I can also engage students and make lessons more interactive for those who require a differentiated method of learning. I can also give feedback much quicker. Since I am a co-teacher, I currently am in 10 different math classes each week. I need to be able to complete things quickly and effectively to stay up with the pace of my schedule. I want students to be engaged in learning and also stay up to date with copies of materials that the tablet can help me with.
