The folders and spiral notebooks have come in handy for our day-to-day procedures in our 7th grade math math classroom. \r\nStudents have been using the notebooks for math notes and formulas. Students in 7th grade math learn about solving circumference and area problems for circles, which is new information for them. Having a place to organize the notes and formulas has been very beneficial for our learners.\r\nThe folders have been essential for organizing assignments for future completion. Students have been using the folders for assignment pages that they have not yet finished. Having these paper and plastic goods helps our room out. Since we do not have a sink in our room we now can cook each week since we do not have to drag up the plates to the teacher lounge. Having the towels and Kleenex helps too. The students were very excited that the boxes came and then they jumped around with the plates and boxes of towels. it was so heartwarming to watch them. Our Drama and Tech Theater program has grown to over 250 students, and we needed a lot of supplies. Our school is a Title 1 school and the students have limited abilities to get supplies to create scenes, projects, productions, costumes, makeup and props. We are excited for all the resources we now have.\r\nIn the fall, the Advanced students performed an anti-bullying show \"The Weight of Your Words\" and we were able to completey make the scenery and props for the show. We performed the show to all the 8th graders in the school and were able to advertise our additional performances in the community.\r\nWe are currently working after school on our winter musical \"The Lightning Thief\" which has many memorable costumes, props, scenery and creations. The students have been diligently working with the supplies to create a Minotaur costume, props for the battle scenes and using the materials to create special effects makeup. I have registered a team and signed us up for a competition in December!\r\nI am so excited, because that was one of my goals...to put together a team that competes against other middle school teams here in Las Vegas.
