Over the past few years a group of my students have been learning to code. Coding is an important skill that isn't usually taught in a 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade classroom. Many experts believe that most jobs in the future will require a coding background. As a GATE teacher I have been blessed with the opportunity to bring coding to my students. I chose the Kano, Make your own computer kit, and accessories, because they will help my students advance their coding skill set. The Kano kit will provide my students with the opportunity to build, program, and work on their very own computer that they built from scratch.

About my class
