With the flexible seating students will be able to move about the room to find a comfortable space to work. I am finding that when the students are given the option to find a partner and space to work that they need to get away from their desk and are more productive as a result. These items promote the Standards of Mathematical Practice #4, 1, and 3. Standards 6.NS.B.2 and 6.NS.B.3 are at the heart of these items - as these are such a big part of what the students learn in 6th grade and beyond.

About my class
