I have the supplies my kids need on hand and my kids can see a difference in what they are doing. \r\n\r\nOne of the projects we were working on was their \"make me a monster\" project, where they tied in concepts related to genetics, DNA and inheritance. They had to make a monster using supplies (scissors, tape, glue, etc) to demonstrate a monster that would be able to survive in the wild. It's been months since they have finished those projects up and they still talk about them. They were so excited to know that they had the supplies needed to be able to make them and are even more excited to know that they'll be able to use them again for future projects. \r\n\r\nWe are going to be working on a solar oven soon and we are honestly so stoked about it. Thanks to your support, our MATHia Level-Up Board is now the vibrant centerpiece of our room, and the results have been nothing short of transformative.\r\nBeyond the Screen: Making Progress Visible\r\nWhile MATHia is a powerful digital tool, students can sometimes feel like their hard work disappears into a computer. Your donation changed that. By funding our physical \"Level-Up\" Tracker, you gave my students a way to see their growth in \"high definition.\"\r\nVisual Motivation: Every time a student masters a workspace, they get to move their circle across the board. The room erupts in cheers when someone hits a new milestone.\r\nThe Power of Incentives: The prizes you provided—from \"Mastery Stickers\" to \"Fidget Break Toys\" —have turned \"math dread\" into \"math drive.\" Students who used to struggle to finish one problem are now asking to stay logged in for \"just five more minutes\" to reach the next tier.\r\nData-Driven Pride: Using the LiveLab metrics to determine rewards has taught my students how to track their own data, fostering a sense of ownership over their learning journey.\r\nThe Real Impact: Confidence\r\nThe most significant change isn't in the scores, but in the atmosphere of the classroom. Last week, a student who has historically struggled with math reached 50 workspaces on our board. As they picked out their prize, they whispered, \"I didn't think I could actually get this far.\" That moment of self-belief is exactly what your donation made possible. You didn't just buy stickers and prizes; you bought a \"can-do\" attitude for more than 100 students who needed to know they were capable of excellence.\r\nA Community of Mathematicians\r\nYour support has turned our math block into a collaborative quest. My students can earn these Bear Bucks through so many ways in our school, and it's a great way for them to be appreciated. \r\n\r\nThis project allowed me to add a robust amount of prizes for my students to enjoy with their Bear Bucks. The first time I had students ask to use the \"store,\" I was thrilled to see the sparkle in their eyes when they saw the tiny little Tic Tac boxes. Word spread like wildfire throughout the school, and these are such a hot commodity! They love choosing a special smelly pencil or pen (not to mention the kneadable erasers) to use in their classes.\r\n\r\nBefore, I had a limited number of prizes for them, and I'm so happy that I have more variety now, and that every student can find something that interests them in my store. I used to just have my own students purchasing from my store, but now I have students from 6th and 7th grade asking to come buy, as well! Students eagerly asked when they could start using the new tools, and their learning energy noticeably increased.\r\n\r\nThese resources are already making a powerful difference in our English Language Arts block and across the school day. Clipboards and magnetic drawing boards have made it easier for students to participate in collaborative tasks. At the same time, providing basic snacks and drinks ensures that both brains and bodies are nourished — something that cannot be overlooked in a middle school classroom.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped remove barriers that too often stand in the way of student success. Thanks to your support, our students now have access to math manipulators, craft supplies, and social-emotional learning (SEL) tools that have truly transformed our daily environment.\r\n\r\nIn an autism support classroom, \"hands-on\" isn't just a teaching style—it's a necessity. Here is a glimpse into how your gifts are being used:\r\n\r\nMastering Math with Touch: The math manipulators have been a game-changer. For many of my students, abstract numbers can be overwhelming. Now, they are using the new tactile tools to \"see\" addition and subtraction. Those \"aha!\" moments are happening more frequently, and the frustration that usually comes with math is being replaced by confidence.\r\n\r\nCreativity and Fine Motor Skills: Our new craft supplies have turned our art corner into a favorite destination. Beyond the joy of creating, these activities are helping my students work on their fine motor skills and sensory processing in a way that feels like play rather than \"work.\"\r\n\r\nThe Heart of the Room (SEL): The social-emotional activities have provided a much-needed toolkit for our students to navigate big feelings. Whether it's using a new calming tool to self-regulate or engaging in a group activity that practices turn-taking, these resources are helping them build the social foundations they need for life.\r\n\r\nThe Best Part? The Students Love It. The day the boxes arrived felt like a holiday. Their faces lit up as we unpacked each item. One of my students, who usually struggles with transitions, now walks into the room and immediately heads for the \"New Math Center\" with a huge grin. Another student has found so much peace in the new SEL calming activities that they are spending more time engaged in lessons and less time feeling overwhelmed.\r\n\r\nYou didn't just buy \"supplies\"—you provided the building blocks for their success and a more inclusive, joyful learning environment.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my students and for investing in their potential.
