The world that my students live in is sometimes a scary place. Making sure that they have a safe place in my classroom is important to me. This means being able to communicate with each one of my students no matter the language. These translators would give students that have only been in America for days the opportunity to communicate with me and their peers. When students can’t communicate with their teacher or their peers they feel alone and cut off. These translators can bridge that gap for my students, allowing them to communicate with their peers and myself. It will also allow me to be able to communicate freely with parents. Making sure that all of my students and parents feel apart of the school community is essential to the success of every student.
