We used the new bins and desk organizers to create a dedicated home for every math tool. Before this, students often wasted the first five minutes of class hunting for pencils, makers, rulers, etc. With the new system, they walked in, grabbed the specific item needed for that days lesson/assignments, and started focusing immediately. I'll have to say when they first saw the materials, they were genuinely surprised since they didn't think anything new was coming to the classroom. Overall, they took ownership of the materials right away, and made sure every tool was returned to its proper spot before the bell rang.
