I'll have to say when they first saw the materials, they were genuinely surprised since they didn't think anything new was coming to the classroom. Overall, they took ownership of the materials right away, and made sure every tool was returned to its proper spot before the bell rang. We also used the origami paper during a culture lesson, where students followed simple Japanese instructions to create designs. It turned into one of those moments where everyone was engaged and helping each other. The stickers have also been a fun way to recognize effort, and students get really excited about earning them. \r\nNext, we were working toward a small class display where students would show their best calligraphy piece and an origami project, along with a short Japanese description.
