For the past 2 years, my chemistry students have only been able to do online lab simulations due to the pandemic. Even so, our chemical storage room is depleted of supplies and chemicals that we are in dire need of. The acid/base indicators and magnetic stirrer bars that I have requested will be used in experiments identifying acids and bases. Further, the magnetic stirrer bars are used to stir the solutions while students add the indicators to show the various stages of pH changes. The supplies and chemicals can be used in more than 1 experiment and final class end of the semester project. The oxidation states of manganese and pH of household chemicals are two specific experiments.
