My request is for materials such as lapboards, clipboards, and books to help my class reconnect after a year of distance learning. Students have been isolated and I want to make sure they are comfortable in the classroom environment and ready to learn. These diverse and inclusive book titles will be used for reading and discussion, while also covering NVACS RL and RI standards. Students need voice and choice in the classroom, and these titles and materials are the way to engage students who need some gentle guidance in adjusting to in-person learning. These items were carefully curated to reach a wide audience and give them the tools to feel confident in their abilities while challenging them to increase their own skills in English language arts.
