The quality of my daily high school online mathematics lessons and presentations would be greatly enhanced with a better camera and mic. When I work out problems for students the numbers are small and are often difficult to read when blurry. Students are better able to take notes and follow algorithms in problem-solving and high-level thinking in mathematics with improved technology. A quality camera and mic to update my laptop will improve instruction, provide clarity, and optimize learning for my students. Students want to engage in online learning but do not have access to the technology to do so. I have students at home who would greatly benefit from more active participation in our online class with a camera and mic. Seeing and hearing students gives them a voice and connection to one another. One student even rebuilt a PC for his online learning and now only needs a camera and mic. Technology allows students to actively engage in learning.
