The use of the VR headset has been such a fun way to engage the classroom in what we are learning and they are so excited to use it. The use of this technology allows me to share with the class different places around the world that are difficult for my Hawaii students to understand what we are discussing. \r\n\r\nThe VR headsets allows my students to be interactive in settings they have never been to or would have never had the opportunity to see without this use of technology. For example, in our weather lesson, we learned about tornadoes. Students had the chance to experience and see with the VR headset the different categories of tornadoes that would not have been possible without this device. They were also interactive with it to see what the tornado would do to the house, bringing engagment an understanding of how they can prepare for a weather hazard. \r\n\r\nStudents love the VR headset and the corner we used with the lights to keep it a safe tech spot. Some students from different counties had never seen this type of technology before and were so excited to try it out. The whole class enjoys using the headset, and it has made such a change in our learning experiences. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your support in supporting my title-1 students in helping them make connections to places outside of our small island.","fullyFundedDate":1759416958598,"projectUrl":"project/virtual-field-trips-for-title-1-students/9774542/","projectTitle":"Virtual Field Trips for Title-1 Students on Maui","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. L","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/missnunez"},{"teacherId":8825244,"projectId":9772179,"letterContent":"My students come alive when they get to create with their hands!
