If my project is fully funded, I will provide my students with a flexible seating classroom setting. Students will be able to choose among different seats such as wobble chairs, ball chairs, bean bags, floor seats and more. Why is flexible seating beneficial to students? Students have a voice and the power to choose. Ball chairs and wobble chairs allow students to move in their seats as they are learning. Flexible seating also creates community. In traditional classroom seating, students feel like their space is their territory, but flexible seating is something that is shared each day. Most of all, flexible seating is fun and something to look forward to!
