As a first-year teacher (returning from retirement), to my own classroom was both exhilarating and humbling — and thanks to you, we made a great year of it.\r\n\r\nThe materials you funded have made a tangible difference in our daily learning environment. Our accountability tracking tools and consumable workbooks have helped my students stay organized and take ownership of their progress. The binders and lamination system mean that our hard work and resources stayed in great shape all year long — a small thing that makes a big difference when supplies are precious.\r\n\r\nYou might smile to hear what my students are most excited about: the thinking putty. We have made it a classroom tradition — whenever we tackle something hard, out comes the putty. It gives little hands something to work with while young minds wrestle with big ideas, and it has become a symbol in our room that struggling with something difficult is not only okay, it is celebrated.\r\n\r\nThe magic tricks have been a delightful surprise as well — a perfect way to spark curiosity and reward effort. And the simple basics, a working stapler and tape dispenser, mean that our project ideas are no longer limited by what we have on hand. We can build, create, and collaborate freely.\r\n\r\nThis classroom became an enthusiastic learning environment, and that is because of you. What you have made possible goes far beyond fun. You have given my students a pathway to mastery.\r\nMy students are hands-on learners. They come alive when they can touch, move, and interact with what they are studying. I have watched children who struggle to stay focused during traditional instruction become completely absorbed the moment a game or manipulative is placed in front of them. That concentration is something special — and it is exactly the environment where real learning happens.\r\n\r\nThe games and materials you funded are specifically designed to target skills that some of my students have not yet fully mastered. Rather than drilling the same concepts in the same ways, these tools give students a fresh approach — one built on repetition they actually enjoy. Friendly competition with peers creates a natural motivation to practice, and before long, those repeated practice moments quietly become mastery.\r\n\r\nJust as importantly, these materials encourage cooperation. Students are learning not only academic skills but also how to work together, support one another, and celebrate each other's growth. Those lessons will carry them far beyond our classroom.\r\nYour generosity has filled our classroom with energy, engagement, and possibility. These materials have already begun making a meaningful difference in our daily learning. Instead of fractions feeling abstract or intimidating, the games allow students to build, compare, and explain fractions in ways that are visual, interactive, and fun. I have already seen students using math language more confidently as they work together, and these experiences are helping strengthen their understanding as we prepare for the SBA.\r\n\r\nThe snacks have also had an immediate and important impact. For many of my students, having a simple snack during the day helps them stay focused, energized, and emotionally regulated. Something as small as a snack can completely change a student's ability to concentrate, participate in discussions, and persevere through challenging tasks. It has helped create a classroom environment where students are ready to learn and can put their best effort into their academics.\r\n\r\nThe social-emotional learning games have been another powerful addition to our classroom community. Students were thrilled when they first saw them and immediately wanted to play together.
