Aloha! I am an EL (English Learner" teacher from Kihei, HI. I have worked as an EL teacher for more than 10 years now. I enjoy EL because working with these diverse learners teaches me so many new things about these families and cultures. Our students are eager to learn and their families are supportive of their academic endeavors. We are a low-income school and with current budget cuts, it is very difficult to supply my students with the materials they deserve. My classroom is very culturally diverse making the need for quality educational materials very important, especially for help in developing language skills.
