While these materials may seem simple, they play a huge role in helping students learn responsibility, teamwork, and professionalism through theatre.\r\n\r\nThe storage bins have been especially exciting for students because they finally have a real system to organize props, costumes, and technical supplies. Instead of searching through cluttered piles backstage, students can now label and sort materials just like a professional theatre crew. Many of our student leaders and stage crew members have taken pride in setting up and maintaining the new organization system.\r\n\r\nThe glow tape and gaffer tape have also made a major difference during rehearsals and performances. In our Café and Multi Purpose Building performance space, students often move quickly in low lighting during scene changes. The glow tape helps clearly mark backstage pathways while the gaffer tape secures cables and equipment safely. Students are learning that attention to detail and preparation are essential parts of live theatre.\r\n\r\nOur students have especially connected with the responsibility that comes with maintaining a production space. Your contribution has made a profound impact on our ALGEBRA 1 and GEOMETRY classes , specifically through the implementation of the Stylus and Sparks project. This project has provided invaluable additional resources allowing me to transform daily lessons and succeed in making learning truly fun, dynamic, and engaging for our students.Since introducing this project, we have witnessed a remarkable shift in classroom energy and participation.\r\n\r\n Student engagement has increased significantly because the new tools allow students to plot coordinates visibly and interact directly with the lesson material. This visual approach has turned abstract mathematical concepts into concrete, tangible experiences, sparkling a newfound enthusiasm for learning among the students.\r\n\r\n Interestingly, the project has introduced a wonderful efficiency to our daily classroom workflow. The students prefer the magnetic boards because they can quickly and easily erase their work during group discussions. This ability to make immediate corrections removes the fear of making mistakes, encouraging students to experiment with different solutions without hesitation. If a group realizes their calculation is incorrect, they simply wipe the board clean and try again. This fast, hands-on editing process makes their peer discussions highly efficient and keeps the momentum of the lesson moving forward smoothly.Most importantly, the benefits of your gift extend far beyond student enjoyment; they are clearly reflected in our academic \r\n\r\nThank you once again for your kindness, your vision, and your commitment to enhancing the education of our students. With the Sony DVD Player, Apple Lightning to HDMI Adapters, and the mobile Steel-Framed Presentation Cart, we have turned our classroom into an interactive multimedia hub. Instead of just reading about complex concepts, our students are now experiencing them visually. We can easily project educational content, student presentations, and interactive media directly from an iPhone or iPad to our main monitor. It allows us to meet every student exactly where they are, tailoring the pace of learning to their individual needs.\r\n\r\nThe absolute favorite aspect of this project is how it bridges the gap between focused academic work and physical well-being. The students are incredibly energized by the FlagHouse E-Z Play Net System and ProsourceFit Dip Stand Station, which have allowed us to incorporate structured movement, team-building, and healthy physical outlets right into our routine. Furthermore, having a vibrant selection of treats like the Frito-Lay, Oreo, Utz, and Sweet & Salty snack variety packs has turned our classroom into a welcoming environment where students feel cared for and motivated to earn rewards for their hard work.\r\n\r\nWhile the entire class has benefited, this new setup has been a game-changer for our kinesthetic and high-energy learners. One student in particular, who used to struggle to stay focused during traditional desk lessons, has completely turned around. Having structured \"brain breaks\" using the fitness equipment and net system gives them a productive way to channel their energy.","fullyFundedDate":1771773458337,"projectUrl":"project/present-and-participate/10109464/","projectTitle":"Present and Participate","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. N.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4855553"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_50806","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":928,"numTeachers":85,"percentFrplEligible":71,"percentAsian":5,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":19,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":63,"percentMultiracialImputed":9,"gradesServed":"7 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"10.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":49.6,"schoolId":50806,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Nanakuli High & Intermediate School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Nanakuli High & Intermediate School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/hawaii/leeward-oahu-school-district/nanakuli-high-intermediate-school/50806"}
