As an Adaptive Physical Education teacher, my goal is to build a safe and interactive environment for my students. The focus is to get my students physically moving, to create and maintain healthy lifestyles, have fun and most importantly keep them safe. The equipment that we currently have has been reused for the last 3-4 years due to lack of funding. We do need funding for new equipment so that my students can have access to a healthy, safe and interactive class. With your help, I would like to expand the amount of physical activities we are able to offer my students in Adaptive P.E. I am requesting for basic outdoor P.E equipment such as balls, ball racks, softball gloves, bats, cones, hula hoops and a volleyball net for my students. These will be used to practice my students fine/gross motor skills during our team sports unit. For rainy days, I am requesting indoor equipment such as a mini basketball arcade and throwing targets. The stackable stepping stones will be used for our balance and coordination units. The yoga mats will be used for our strength and flexibility unit while the dumbbell set I requested will be used for our muscular strength unit. All equipment will be properly sanitized between each use.
