The project that I am requesting funding for is an Apple iPad. One of the ways that my students will be using the iPad in class is by recording themselves doing various weight lifting sets so that they can immediately check their form and we can discuss what is working well and what should be improved/changed. My students will also be searching for different workout videos that interest them. Native Hawaiians have a high diabetes and obesity rate so I want to encourage my kids to be able to find workouts that they enjoy so that they are more likely to continue exercising throughout their lives. COVID has changed the way we have to teach and learn in school and an iPad will allow my students to have access to technology outside of the classroom. We really want to encourage safety and wellness and I feel like the iPad will really make a difference for my students! Mahalo.
