Students are also practicing predicting outcomes, justifying their thinking, and engaging in respectful debates based on what they read.\r\nReading in our classroom is active and joyful. Students participate in whole group read alouds, small group discussions, and independent reading time, where they choose books that truly interest them. You'll often see students talking about what they're reading, sharing surprising facts, and eagerly recommending books to their classmates. The excitement around reading has grown, and students are more motivated to pick up books and stay engaged for longer periods of time.\r\n\r\nMany students are especially enjoying the new books, particularly the Who Would Win? series. These books have been a huge hit with readers who may have been reluctant in the past, as well as those who already loved nonfiction.
