The new organizers have made a huge difference in helping my students keep our materials tidy and accessible. Before, we often struggled to find supplies, which took away from valuable learning time. Now, every pencil, marker, and folder has a home—and my students take pride in maintaining that order each day.\r\n\r\nWhen the organizers first arrived, my students were so excited to help set everything up! They worked together to label bins, sort supplies, and choose spots for classroom items. It was amazing to see how much ownership they took in keeping their learning space clean and clutter-free. The change has been noticeable—our transitions are smoother, and the classroom feels welcoming and peaceful.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, these organizers will continue to play a huge role in building student responsibility and independence. Having a structured, clutter-free environment allows us to focus more on learning and creativity. It's been so heartwarming to see them trading book recommendations and proudly sharing their favorites with one another.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students couldn't contain their excitement! They were amazed by how colorful, fresh, and inviting our library looked. Having the cleaning supplies and organizers has also helped them take pride in keeping our classroom neat every day. They now have daily jobs that include tidying the library and organizing books back by genre, which has encouraged responsibility and teamwork.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we plan to continue using these new resources to strengthen our reading routines and promote a love for literacy. This is my first year teaching, and this is my very first classroom. Without this project, I truly had nothing to fill it. Thanks to your generosity, my students walked into a space that felt warm, welcoming, and ready for them to learn. Instead of empty shelves and bare walls, they saw supplies, resources, and tools that made the room feel like a second home. That moment was so special because it showed my students right away that this is a place where they are cared for and where their education matters. We've already used the materials daily for writing activities, group projects, and lessons that allow every child to be engaged, and I can already see their confidence growing.\r\n\r\nNow that we have the essentials, my students are able to fully focus on learning and thriving. We are working on building strong reading and math foundations, and the resources from this project are giving them everything they need to succeed academically. Our next steps are to dive into collaborative projects where students will practice teamwork and problem-solving skills while using the supplies you helped provide. This project has turned an empty room into a true classroom filled with love, growth, and opportunity. My students use them during math to solve problems step-by-step, and in ELA, they use them on erasable surfaces to model the process of elimination when selecting answers. One of my favorite moments came when a student who hesitated to participate eagerly jumped in to \"show their work\" on the board, erasing and adjusting as they explained their thinking to the class. The markers make learning more interactive and hands-on.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new markers, you would have thought I had brought in a treasure chest. They were excited to try every color, and the energy in the room was contagious. Many immediately asked, \"Can we use these today?\" and of course, we did. The simple act of giving them something bright and practical added a spark that carried through the lesson.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, my students will continue using the markers as we move into more complex reading comprehension and multi-step math problems. These tools allow them to visualize strategies, revise mistakes, and collaborate in ways that build both confidence and skills. Because of your kindness, we now have resources that make learning active, engaging, and fun.","fullyFundedDate":1730911410384,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-4th-graders-with-dry-erase-to/8866770/","projectTitle":"Empowering 4th Graders With Dry Erase Tools For Success!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gibson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9435091_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1705603949400","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/gibsonsclassroom"},{"teacherId":9371635,"projectId":8577928,"letterContent":"The supplies for this project kept our students healthy with tissues, paper towels, and Clorox wipes.\r\n\r\nIt motivated them and incentivized them with candy, only 10 calories per piece (they don't know that😊).\r\n\r\nAcademically they grew on average almost 1 1/2 grade levels this year in math.
